Thanks to the huge efforts of everybody connected to Salesbury School, we have gained enough votes to get down to the last 3 to win £5,000!

By spending money at Blackburn Mall and putting tokens in to vote for school, we will have a chance of winning the money - and funds to pay for our Multi Sports Enclosure.

Welcome from the Headteacher: Mrs. P. A. Mallaby

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the website for Salesbury Church of England Primary School.  I hope that you find it helpful and interesting.  We have an outstanding reputation; the children here are happy, well behaved and enjoy coming to school taking advantage of the opportunities that we offer them both in school and outside in extra curricular activities and organised trips.

Education is a partnership linking parents, children and staff; only by working closely together can we hope to give your children a happy and productive school life. Throughout your child's time here the staff will make considerable efforts to involve you in what is going on.  Your contribution to your child's education is crucial - we place great importance on that and look forward to working together.

Our results have consistently been above the national average and many of our children are successful in passing the entrance exam for Clitheroe Royal Grammar School. We also have strong links with our local High Schools, Westholme and QEGS.

We have close links with St. Peter's Church and the local community. The vicar, Rev. John Hartley leads worship in school once a week, and we regularly hold services in Church to which you are always welcome.

If you are considering a place for your child here please do make an appointment, through the office, to look round.

Salesbury School in the Snow!

 (December 2011)

We decided to have a whole school project on the theme of:

 "Where can I find God?"

The children could use any medium they wished, eg paint, crayons, computer etc. Every chid took part, from Nursery to Year 6. As you can see from this small selection they have 'done us proud' as the old Lancashire expression says! Click on the link above to see the work...
