Please find attached our latest update following our recent Ofsted visit.  The inspection was a short inspection and led to the publication of the attached letter.  We are pleased that it highlights so many of our strengths and signposts our continued direction forward.

Having just had our SIAMS inspection, which looks at our effectiveness as a Church School, we would like to share our report with you.  We would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone involved in our school community for helping it be a place where children can flourish

Our Mission Statement

With Jesus at the centre of all we do we treat every child of God equally,
helping them to achieve their best, in a safe, loving and happy school.

Welcome to Salesbury Church of England Primary School - giving all children a chance to shine!

T hank you for visiting the website for Salesbury Church of England Primary School.  We are currently updating our website but I hope you can still find some useful information about our school. If you can't find what you need do not hesitate to be in touch.

Salesbury C.E. Primary School is a vibrant school community which is continually moving forward.  The school offers a rich and varied curriculum for children in Nursery to Y6. Part-time nursery education is supported by private on-site nursery facilities to provide full time nursery education and experiences for your child.

Salesbury is committed to working alongside parents, parish and local community to ensure that it has a real and warm family feeling!

Our school aims to be a place where:-

 • we all talk of ‘our’ achievement and everyone is anxious to improve;

 • all pupils are increasingly aware of their potential and that it is without limit if they make the effort;

• Everyone feels fulfilled in what they do and contributes to the fulfilment of others;

• The full range of success – sporting, academic, artistic, practical support for others, triumph over adversity – is celebrated;

• All members of the school community are committed to their own continuous learning and support that of others;

• Everyone is aware of the school’s collective past and present success and is ambitious to contribute to that collective legacy for future generations.

Salesbury C.E. Primary School hopes to facilitate these aims and to promote the fun of learning and the pleasure of achievement.  It is hoped that children will be 'hungry for learning' and leave our school wanting more!

While we celebrate all our children's gifts and talents and recognise the growth they make as an individual the school is proud that results have also consistently been above the national average and many of our children are successful in passing the entrance exam for Clitheroe Royal Grammar School. We also have strong links with our local High Schools.

As a strong Church School, we enjoy close links with St. Peter's Church and the local community. We are delighted to work and learn alongside Rev. Martin Duerden who leads worship in school or Church once a week, and we regularly hold services in Church to which you are always welcome. Rev. Martin also supports the day to day running of the school strengthening our ethos as a Christian school.

If you would like to visit our school and see our children in action, please do contact us for an appointment, you will be most welcome.  If you have any other questions or queries, you can contact our School Business Manager, Jane Pearson who will be happy to help.
