Salesbury this week!
Blogs PageWelcome to our Languages page!
Language teaching at Salesbury is based on the National Curriculum Programme of Study for MFL at Key Stage 2, which states that children are to make progress in one MFL by the end of KS2. We also access The Primary Languages Network and have adapted this to the context of our school and the abilities of our children. Modern Foreign Languages are taught once a week in Key Stage Two (from Year 3) for 30 minutes. A range of techniques are used to actively engage the children, including kinaesthetic and multi-sensory approaches. All children in KS2 learn French in preparation for KS3.
