Friday 15th May 2020

Hello, Mercury Class!

It’s the end of the week. Thank you for your hard work. Make sure you ask for your Friday wages!

Please see, below, our remote learning tasks for today.

English

Enjoy today’s Story Time at: https://salesbury.primarysite.media/playlist/mercury-class and on facebook at 9am.

This week, we are working through the Talk for Writing Booklets in English, found below. You may go at your own pace or follow the suggested page numbers below. Please note that these are the page numbers on the document itself, not necessarily on the computer screen. Year 3 answers are found at the back of the document.

Year 3: Trolls (pages 19 to 22)

Year 4: Aliens (pages 18 to 25)

Table 2: Spiders (pages 15 to 17)

Mathematics

This week we are using a different set of resources, for a change. Each day, we need to work through the activities below – either by looking at the screen and writing the answers down or by printing off the sheets. Follow the instructions carefully and make sure you look through the sheets before you begin, so you can find the answers, extra support materials and the different levels of task - Mild (easier) and Hot (harder). There may also be activities to work with somebody else on. If there is a PowerPoint Presentation, then watch this first, listening to the teaching at the same time.

Year 3: Fractions/Time

Year 4: Fractions/Tables

Table 2: Numbers/Place Value

Other Activities

Other activities you may choose to do today, could be:

  • Computing: Enjoy coding at https://www.codeforlife.education/rapidrouter/
  • Revise your French vocabulary with the work below on Food
  • Art (Large Scale Structures in Northern England): Research and sketch/paint/collage/make your own version of Helter Skelter by David Annand (formerly in Blackpool)
