Friday 3rd July

Good morning Mars Class!

Here are your lessons for today:

Maths warm up. Place value. Follow instructions using the <  symbol. Draw a place value grid. Write the number six hundred and thirteen on the grid. Write the < symbol under the hundreds column, the = symbol under the tens column and the = symbol under the ones column. Now write all the possible new numbers that can be made following these instructions. See example in photo below.

Repeat using the number seven hundred and twenty-four.

Maths main. Fractions. Complete the Fractions Topic Review question set on the LbQ site. https://www.lbq.org/task This code will work until 6pm on this date.

The code you need is: thv

Remember in a fraction, the numerator represents how many parts are being considered and the denominator represents the number of equal parts in a whole. In 3/4 the 3 is the numerator and the 4 is the denominator.

English. "Hunted". Use the sentences you have developed, linked to the film clip "Hunted" to create a simple poem, e.g.

The hunter searches for the boy

He trails the boy

He follows the boy

He stalks the boy

He chases the boy

He finds the boy

And

Then

R.E. Proverbs. Think about these questions... What is wisdom? Who gives us wisdom? Who is wise? Read the story of Solomon choosing Wisdom. Draw a mind map with the word WISDOM in the centre. Have spin offs saying what it is, who gives us it and where we store it. If you could have asked for anything, what would you have chosen?

Read the story of two women and a baby. Read proverb 3:15. See PowerPoint below. Talk about it with an adult. Do you agree or disagree with the proverb? How might we say that proverb today? Write a short, modern version of proverb 3:15 and send it to your teacher.
