Friday 7th January

This week, we have been recapping the Phase 2 sounds and applying these to simple words such as: hiss, rock, leg, hat etc. We have also been reading lots of sentences containing these sounds.

 

We have also been trying to read the reception words by sight (without sounding them out). We still need lots of practise with this!

 

Please continue to practise the Phase 2 sounds and high frequency words. 

 

 

We are going to be focusing on rhyming next week, this week the children have a rhyming activity to practise their rhyming skills over the weekend.
