Welcome to Jupiter!

Year 4/5!

Hello! My name is Mr Bird. I am Class Teacher of Jupiter, a Year 4/5 Class here at Salesbury. I have taught at this school for 20 years and I feel very much a part of this school. I love teaching and feel very fortunate to be given the opportunity to teach at a school like Salesbury.

I enjoy working with the staff to offer the children memorable learning experiences in Year 4 and 5, to prepare them for the future!

We have a number of adults who support our learning:

Mr Bird is the Class Teacher.

Mrs Bowen teaches the children for a lesson on a Tuesday afternoon and on a Thursday afternoon. She also teaches groups of children in the learning lounge throughout the week.

Mrs Howell-Jones teaches the children for a lesson each week on Tuesday afternoon.

Mrs Holgate teachers the children for a lesson on a Thursday afternoon.

Sam Crewe will teach gymnastics for part of the year.

Mrs Hargreaves, Ms Bleazard and Mrs Woodruff work as Teaching Assistants in supporting the children.

If you would like to contact me, please don't hesitate to call school or email me at

In the event of a school closure due to the Coronavirus outbreak, here are the arrangements and activities to be working on remotely at home:

Is there a pattern for the triangular numbers?
