As an intensive intervention programme, identified children have been working alongside their class teacher for 4 periods of 30 minutes each week with a focus on grammar for writing and the application of their learning into independent writing. This is in addition to the taught English lesson and hopes to close the gap and provide confidence and skills to access the taught objectives.
