Good morning Mars Class!

Here are the lessons for today:

Maths warm up. Solve problems, including missing number problems, involving multiplication and division. Ask a grown up to give you a secret number of counters, it can be any number as long as it is in the three times table. Now you need to count the total number of objects and discover how many there are. Then place them in an array. After that write as many number sentences for the array as you can. See example below.

Maths main. Multiply a two-digit numbers by a single-digit numbers. Look at the PowerPoint below to remind you where the grid comes from for the grid method of multiplication. See how the array has been partitioned in to smaller arrays. Then use the grid method of multiplication to solve the calculations.

Watch the film clips again. View a small section of each film at a time, pause the film,
discuss key facts and write them down. Also write down any new vocabulary you have
encountered. Repeat until the film is ended.

English. Discuss and review all the information you have found out about crocodiles. 

Look up some of the new words you have heard in a dictionary or by using Word Hippo.

Create a fact file/ poster about crocodiles.
Challenge – to include ten sentences about crocodiles in the fact file/poster.

Check your spelling and punctuation. Share the fact file/poster with Mrs Yarwood.

R.E. Hinduism. Draw a picture of the Hindu god Ganesh. Then label it. Use the PowerPoint below to help you.
