Maths warm up. Place value. Look at the representation of a three-digit number then write it in words. See PowerPoint below.
Maths main. Today I would like you to practise your times tables. Try using your Times Table Rock Stars account. Go to https://play.ttrockstars.com/login/19060 and enter Salesbury Church Of England Primary School and your Username and Password. (Your parents were given these details in my email, along with your invitation to join Times Table Rock Stars.) You can log in as many times as you want. Try and use this website over the summer holidays to keep your times tables at the front of your mind.
English. Poetry. Look at https://www.storyberries.com/poems-for-kids-the-spider-by-jane-taylor/ Discuss what this poem is telling the child. What does it tell us about the spider? Develop the vocabulary using a dictionary or thesaurus. You could use the online dictionary and thesaurus at: https://www.wordhippo.com/ Choose your eight favourite words and display as the legs on a spider.
Design & Technology. Use a kitchen roll or other tube to create your own rainstick. Experiment with different things to put inside. See PowerPoint below for inspiration.
