Here are the lessons for today:

Maths Warm up. Recall and use multiplication and division facts for the 8 times table. Start by counting from 0 to 96 and back again using a 100 square for support. See 100 square below. Now prove that 6 groups of 8 equals 48 in as many different ways as you can (e.g. using pictures, number sentences, arrays, groups, objects, repeated addition).

Maths main. Estimate and calculate using three-digit numbers. Ask a grown up to play the Estimate and Calculate game below.

English. Prepositions. Write new sentences starting with a preposition, such as above and below. Use the pictures in The Stone Trolls to give you ideas. Complete pages 14 and 15 in the Talk for Writing booklet to help you with your writing skills.

Guided Reading. Flat Stanley. Read and/or listen on YouTube to Chapter One - The Big Bulletin Board.
