Maths: Using number cards 1-10 0r 1-15 Turn the cards face down and spread out on a table. Take turns to turn two cards over, read the numbers. If the cards are a pair, the player gets to keep them.

Maths: Use the cards to make a number line from 1-10. If you have string, they may enjoy pegging the cards on a washing line. Using pegs is a great way to strengthen the muscles in hands.
English: Watch the story of the Gruffalo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8sUPpPc8Ws Discuss the story. What happens? What characters are there? Ask your child to draw a character and label them.
Guided Reading: Read to an adult and discuss the story. Ask lots of ‘Wh’ questions

Maths: Use the cards you made yesterday and hide them around the garden or house. Give your child a bingo style card with numbers 1-10 on it but in random order. Ask them to search for the cards you have hidden and tick off the numbers as they find them and say the number out loud.
English: Draw some different shapes, patterns and letters. Ask your child to draw over the top of yours. Then ask her to place small objects such as beads, bits of paper, gems etc over the top (example in the picture below)

Maths: Go on a number hunt in the garden. Make small cards and write a number on each one from 1-5 or 1-10. (use an old box from your paper sack) Ask your child to pick a card then collect that number of leaves, stones, twigs etc. If you have some chalk they could try to write the numbers on the pavement.
English: Practice writing your full name using lots of different ways e.g. use different pens, pencil, paint, chalk etc
Guided Reading: Read to an adult and discuss the story, what are the key words, choose a few key words and write them out.
