Salesbury this week!
Blogs PageGood morning Mars Class!
Here are the lessons for today:
Maths warm up. Recall and use multiplication and division facts for the 8 times table. Ask a grown-up to call out a fact from the 8 times table (e.g. 10 x 8). Draw an array that shows this. Then write down all the number sentences relating to the array. See example below. Repeat.
Maths main. Perimeters. Log on to MyMaths and complete the online task on perimeters.
To log on you need to do the following:
English. Edit and publish your warning story about trolls. Remember to use paragraphs, check spelling and punctuation then copy it out in your best handwriting. You could make a six-page book with one sheet of paper and write your story out in that. See page 22 in the Talk for Writing booklet.
Guided Reading. Flat Stanley. Read and/or listen on YouTube to Chapter Four -
The Museum Thieves

Think about creating a newsflash script for Flat Stanley and the museum. See below a newsflash example from Sesame Street to help with ideas as to how to create a newsflash:

Science. Light. Work with a grown-up to identify opaque, translucent and transparent materials. Find objects around the home and sort them. See PowerPoint below.
