Good morning Mars Class!

Here are the lessons for today:

Maths warm up. Solve problems by scaling. I have a collection of dots; 6 blue, 3 red and 5 green. See photo below. Now increase the quantities of dots so there are 3 times as many of each colour. Find some crayons or felt-tip pens and draw a picture to represent your answer.

Maths main. Shape and angles. Revise the following vocabulary:

Horizontal. Parallel to the horizon (the line where the land meets the sky).

Vertical. Exactly upright.

Perpendicular. Lines that meet at right angles (90 degrees).

Parallel. Lines that are always the same distance apart.

Now complete the Hopping Spots activity. See PowerPoint below.
