Whole Class Reading

Please read the Deforestation Debate Article below. Find and highlight the following words (extinct, eroded, population, emissions, silt, replanted) and then, once you have understood the meaning of each word, using a Dictionary (or online Dictionary, such as wordhippo: Thesaurus and Word Tools | WordHippo) re-write each of them in a sentence.

Now cut out (or write out) each argument and place into either a ‘For’ or ‘Against’ pile, before ordering them into the most and least convincing arguments.

Please keep this work, as tomorrow there are some further questions you will be asked!

Each day, this week, I would like you to spend time on this site Learn Touch Typing Free - TypingClub, to practise your Touch Typing skills. With regular practice, this will help you to speed up and become a more effective typist! Please let me know how you are getting on.
