Salesbury this week!
Blogs PageDuring 2017-2018 and 2018-2019, our children visited different places of worship across the North West so children could learn first hand about other faiths and how they worship. These visits also allow children to make comparisons between the faiths and Christianity. Children have visited a Buddhist Temple in Manchester, Manchester Cathedral, A Jewish Synagogue in Manchester and The Jewish Museum, Blackburn Cathedral, An Islamic Mosque in Blackburn and A Hindu Temple in Preston.
We have been visiting different places of worship for two years now and hope that children's learning is enhanced through these visits.
Visits to Church
The children visit St Peter's Church to enhance their curriculum experiences further. They have opportunities to explore the Church and learn more about it our special building. Children have attended 'baptisms' at the Church so they can experience what it is like but also think about the thoughts and feelings of others. They have also taken part in events such as Experience Easter and Experience Pentecost.
