Rooftoppers is packed full of wonderful vocabulary that you can magpie.

Re-read chapter one (see the link below) and pick out some vocabulary that you like and some that you are unfamiliar with. Then use 'Wordhippo' to look at the meaning of the new vocabulary.  

Now look at the following words:  “endeavour” “formidable” “bewildered” and “impenetrable”.  Find synonyms for each of these words.  

Now write some sentences with each word in.  These should be linked to the chapter.  Can you then see if you can  use the words in alternative contexts to strengthen your understanding.
