Draw counters to represent hundreds, tens and ones. Write the number sentence for this sum. See example in photo below. Now draw five more place value grids, fill them in with counters to represent the following numbers and write the number sentence to go with it:

four hundred and twenty-five add one more

two hundred and ninety-seven add one more

five hundred and forty-three take one less

seven hundred and sixteen take one less

nine hundred and seventy-eight take one less

Maths main. Mental calculations. Complete the Add and Subtract Amounts of Money question set on the LbQ site.  This code will work until 6pm on this date. The code you need is: zdv

English. Re-read one of your favourite Anansi stories from yesterday and create a story map. Use writing and illustrations to record the key parts of the story.

Use your story map to re-tell the story to a family member.

Spelling. Learn how to spell words in the "ee" sound family. Write your spellings for this week in the correct columns and then add some of your own. Practise your spellings for this week and then ask a grown up to test you. See if you can get full marks! See PowerPoint below.
