Task One - Use the 5 a day Powerpoint below and complete slide one.  You can then mark your answers using using the next slide.  Remember, to check your answers and go back and look again at anything incorrect.

Today we are thinking about noun phrases.  Please watch the video on the resource centre and then follow the instructions below.  

Below there is a video called The Dream Catcher.  I would like you to watch the video and enjoy it.  Then watch the video again, only this time I would like you to think carefully about what you can see.  There is a word document below that you need to open and use to begin to describe the character.  

Firstly think about nouns - bag, wings, goggles etc. Then think about adjectives and developing some precise descriptive phrases.  

Can you up-level your words using Word Hippo or a thesaurus? 

Then take all your ideas and produce a character description.  This should be written in sentences and remember to check your punctuation.
