LO: Can I measure volumes and capacities?

Good morning everyone,

For today’s lesson you are going to be learning about volume and capacity, as well as the difference between them.

Press the virtual classroom where you will find games, a YouTube video and a video created by Miss. Romaniw about volume and capacity.

You will need a few everyday items to help you with today’s lesson. You will need at least 6 items that you can fill water into, such as a mug, bowl, cup, teaspoon or tablespoon, bucket or anything else that you can think of that you can measure water. Most importantly, you will need a measuring jug to help you find the exact amount of water in your items.

Use the document to write what item you are measuring, an estimate of how much water you think each item can hold and the actual amount of water that each item can hold.
