Welcome to Star Class, our class teachers are Miss Pomfret and Miss Cummins. We feel incredibly lucky to be able to teach the children in both Star and Moon class this year. We are really looking forward to all the learning, playing and fun we will be having together, we're sure it will be very special.

A little bit about us!

Hello, my name is Miss Pomfret! This is my second year at Salesbury and I am so excited to be in Early Years- the place I love the most! Early Years is definately my favourite place to teach as we have so much fun learning new skills, both inside and outside, and giggle all day long! I love spending time outside, whether it's going for walks in the countryside or paddleboarding in the sea! I can't wait to get to know you all and spend lots of time giggling our way through our learning this year!

Hello, my name is Miss Cummins! This is my third class at Salesbury and I'm very excited to be teaching Reception and Year 1 this year. I absolutely love teaching and think it is one of the most magical jobs in the world. I am very passionate about young children's education and have a degree in Early Years Education along with a Masters in Early Childhood and Developmental Psychology. I love reading, travelling to new places and going on long walks with my two dogs- Bertie and Belle. I'm so excited to get to know you all this year and for the wonderful learning journey we will go on together!

We have a fantastic learning environment indoors across both classrooms, and outdoors too. Our environment is used every day across all curriculum areas, as we learn best through play! We also have lots of opportunities throughout the day for learning as a whole class or in small groups.
