The Learning Lounge
Our Learning Lounge is a hub of activity within our school - overseen by Mrs Bowen and a team of teaching assistants we provide a host of workshops and activities to support children through the day.
Each day starts with Reading Partners where children pop into the Learning Lounge read to an adult and practise the rapid reading of common words that aid our fluency.
A daily nurture group is provided where children can have a drink or breakfast snack and help them prepare for the day ahead. If children have any worries, this is a good time to share them so everyone feels more confident to tackle the day.
The rest of the week is a host to different workshops that support or extend childfren's learning - Dangerous Writing, Maths Groups, Quest, Sensory Circuits and Workshops, Lego Therapy, Food Tech, Science, Fine Motor and Gross Motor Workshops.
